The Art & Ecology Pavilions, Mile End Park

About the venue: 
Both the Art and the Ecology Pavilion are used for a wide range of events and activities including art exhibitions, workshops, seminars, launches and receptions. The Art Pavilion it is a spectacular ‘blank canvas’, glass-fronted gallery space set within the tranquillity of Mile End Park. This vast and beautiful earth sheltered space has a simple, clean and contemporary interior with a colonnade running parallel to the wall of glass. It can be adapted to display artworks in a variety of media in a number of ways. Bordering the Regents Canal and adjacent to the Ecology Park and Pavilion, the structure and setting of the Art Pavilion ensures spectacular views looking both out across the water and inward to the dynamic light flooded interior. Set in the heart of the East End, The Pavilions have excellent proximity to and transport links with Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Queen Mary University of London, Canary Wharf and the West End (Bond Street) as well as the thriving arts hubs across East London, putting it firmly on the galleries map. It is part of the Whitechapel Gallery’s First Thursdays scheme and it’s unique architectural properties combined with its accessible yet secluded location make it the perfect venue for exhibitions and installations.
